Things currently pissing me off

The Gay Pride Festival that’s been playing shit music loudly on a loop since 11am. It’s pissing me off because a) obnoxiously loud music played repeatedly pisses me off no matter who plays it and b) it reminds me that the world still hasn’t reached a level of tolerance towards sexuality and that pisses me off. Because people should be allowed to fuck or love who they want, when they want without social stigma. I extend this beyond the realm of sexuality too. This goes out to all the homosexuals who’ve faced a hard life because of their preferences, to all the guys who are considered players if they sleep around and to all the girls considered whoresif they sleep around. You can have sex with who you like, when you like, how you like. The only people who’s business that is, is the two people having sex….and perhaps a girlfriend or boyfriend of any of the involved, in the case of infidelity. Everyone else, stop being upset that your love/sex life sucks and stop taking it out on people who are happy or having fun.

The whole thing about body image, especially although not exclusive too, girls/women. I hate that the media paints the picture that you have to be super-skinny to be attractive (and thus successful in life). I also hate the counter-argument that people seem to offer in that it’s okay to be morbidly obese and that you should just love yourself because women come in ‘all shapes and sizes’. Yes, that IS true, but loving yourself sort of includes a desire to be healthy. And THAT is what society should be making people gear towards - being healthy and living happier lives. Being skinny is not intrinsically being healthy, nor is being overweight. People should be being properly educated that yes, people do come in all shapes and sizes. Genetics will predetermine you to have a certain figure. Some guys will be tall and skinny, some short and muscular. Some girls will have thighs that don’t touch, other girls will naturally have curves. And some people will be overweight (although the last time I read reseach on that, only about 5% of the overweight population was down entirely to genetics). The basic line is: it’s acceptable to look the way you do as long as you’re happy and healthy - and some body types simply won’t work for you in the same way that you won’t be able to change your eye colour with a diet and exercise regime.

And society, depression, the song Call Me Maybe and anyone who makes any joke about it (in particular one I read recently about Alzheimers which is about as funny as a cactus up your ass), sexual frustration, lack of food, boredom, a long list of other stupid aspects of humanity and various aspects of my personality.

Disclaimer: if you’re offended by any of this, feel free to write it down and mail it to 6 years ago when I would have cared.

Send in the Forensic team. Find what traces we can, then burn the phone box to the ground and hunt down the fucker responsible for this.
